Thanks for all your efforts to date on hosting, attending, taking and distributing minutes for this key event in our community!
Regarding fund raising...One of the things we did in WESC was to pick businesses in our area that we wanted to reach out to and sent them a template letter about the event and asking for their support. In return, we put advertised the business in the booklet that was handed out at the WESC auction night. Will we be having a program booklet for our event that will have space for business advertising? If we don't have a program booklet, then we just write the letters to the businesses and follow-up with a call on whether they can support our event.
On another note, I just sent an email to Westwood Community newsletter asking them who I can talk to regarding applying for a grant for this event since they were accepting applications. Hopefully someone will respond and I can get details on whether we would qualify for applying for the grant. Will keep you posted.
Once again I cannot make the meeting due to a conflict! Leaving to Montreal tomorrow for the weekend.
